You hear it on CNBC and Bloomberg TV constantly, TARIFFS, TARIFFS, TARIFFS, and for good reason. Should the US go through with further tariff implementation the effects it would have on the economy could be dire. That’s why now more than ever it’s extremely important to buy cheap stocks with large margins of safety. As we’re in the depths of earnings season right now, I’ve not been doing much else other than reading through annual report after annual report. Lately the more non-discretionary the product or service the company I’m looking into provides, the better. Another caveat that creates the icing on the investment cake would be for this company to domestically produce a product that’s largely imported. This past week I believe I found a company that checks off all of these boxes. They’ve also paid a 10% dividend since 2015.
